The Adam's Peak expedition offers a unique blend of spirituality and adventure. Departing from Kandy, the journey usually commences in the evening, aiming to arrive at the base of the peak. The ascent takes approximately 10 to 14 hours, traversing picturesque landscapes and well-lit pathways. Both pilgrims and adventurers ascend to observe the renowned footprint at the summit and to experience the stunning sunrise. At the peak, one can relish the sweeping vistas of Sri Lanka's central highlands. The descent provides an additional opportunity to appreciate the surrounding natural beauty before heading back to Kandy.

Trip Highlights

Your tour of Adam's Peak commences at 3:00 PM, followed by a drive to Delhouse, where the ascent will begin at 6:00 PM.
The climb requires approximately four hours, presenting a demanding yet gratifying trek through verdant scenery and well-lit paths.
Upon arriving at the summit in the early morning hours, you will be treated to the breathtaking sight of the sunrise from the peak, which is regarded as one of the most iconic vistas in Sri Lanka.
