Anuradhapura in Sri Lanka

Anuradhapura is in the North Central Province of Sri Lanka, which was the first capital of Sri Lanka and the first sacred ancient city, which is the primary hub of Theravada Buddhism for many centuries. The Heart of our civilization, Anuradhapura, declares a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1982 as a sacred city in Sri Lanka. Anuradhapura is a magnificent monastic city of Anuradhapura that dates back 5th century BC and remained elegant in the Kingdom of Sri Lanka till the 11th century A.D.

There are belonging exciting dagobas including serene white Ruwanwelisaya, Jethwanaramaya, Abayagiriya, Mirisawatiya, Thuparamaya and Lankaramaya to made up skyline perspectives. A majestic Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi is the heart of the ancient kingdom. The Sacred Bodhi tree was bringing Sri Lanka in 236 BC.as a sampling tree under the Load Buddha is grabbing enlightenment as considered the oldest tree in the world. As well as Thissa Wawa, Basawakkulama Tank, Kala Wawa, Minneriya Wawa, and Nuwara Wawa are saying mysterious irrigation technology to the world in the Kingdom of Anuradhapura era.
