Where is Pasikuda Beach?

Pasikudah, also known as Pasikuda, is a coastal resort located 35 km northwest of Batticaloa in the Batticaloa District of Sri Lanka. It was once a small Tamil hamlet, along with Kalkudah. However, it has been a popular tourist spot since the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami, and the civil war in Sri Lanka. Recent growth in investment has led to an increase in foreign travel to Pasikudah. It is also home to PasikudahMariamman Temple. Pasikudah can be reached easily from Trincomalee or Batticaloa. Batticaloa Airport is the nearest airport to Pasikudah. Landscape and development

Pasikudah is a popular tourist spot for both locals and tourists. It was established after the 2009 end to civil war and completion of tsunami rehabilitation projects. Pasikudah has been a popular tourist destination since both local and foreign investors are interested in developing tourism along its beaches. Although some plans for mass development have been blocked by the Sri Lankan government's strict environmental policies, economic policies have encouraged development to a limited extent. The shallowest reef coastline is found in Pasikudah, which is well-known. Because the water is only a few inches deeper than the rest of Sri Lanka's coastlines, people can walk for miles into the ocean.
